Rocket Engine Transient Simulation and More

I focus on using particular software called ROCETS (ROCket Engine Transient Simulation) for complex fluid network design and analysis. ROCETS was developed at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center for transient simulation of the Space Shuttle Main Engine. It has since become the most powerful and flight-proven tool of its kind. It is also the most flexible tool available, which leads to a steep learning curve.

ROCETS is pre-packaged with many proven engineering modules for rocket engine design such as pipe flow, valves, pump, tank, heat transfer, and fluid models. It contains meticulously verified fluid databases from the National Institute for Standards and Technology as well as combustion fluid property databases from the industry standard Chemical Equilibrium Analysis code.  Users can create their own modules to simulate everything from pogo to orbital trajectories.

ROCETS outputs are most efficiently read by NASA's Winplot program, but I have customized the code to provide CSV outputs which can easily be accessed by any basic programming language or MS Excel.

ROCETS is used across the industry from hopeful newspace startups to SpaceX.  It is, however, a US Person Release Only software, so it is not utilized outside of the United States.

I offer three basic services:

-Full model development, and delivery

-Independent model validation of both ROCETS and non-ROCETS models

-Assistance with in-house acquistion, set up, and training for use of ROCETS

For examples of the details, depth, and complexity of models that ROCETS can handle, please see my projects page.
